With the election fever heating up in Telangana and Karnataka, it appears that these would be a good prelude to what is coming in the 2009 General elections.
What happens in Karnataka might be of a great importance to us (telanganites) too.If the BJP does very well in those elections, it might be a good idea for the TRS to form an alliance with the BJP.As atleast on paper they seem to be sincere in their claims about Telangana.
It is true that the Telanganites have been duped by major political parties, but the BJP has never does so.It might be a good idea to give BJP a chance as TRS needs a good support from a national party.Better to take BJP's support than be duped again by a party like Congress.
Imagine a situation where Telanganites are handed the power and the "oppurtunities" they're asking for. I still don't think that will solve the problem. The reason being - they're always going to find an excuse to take the easy way out.. they'll continue to blame their problems on their past. Their failures, they will claim, are because they have been exploited and outrun for so many years.
Take Chattisgarh and Jharkand - Maosit activity here has grown at a much higher rate than when they were part of MP and Bihar. Smaller states, especially ones that are based on issues like exploitation are more prone to the growth of naxalites. In AP, the naxalites in the forests of Bastar are already trying to push and expand.. added to this, with the three Telangana districts, Khammam, Warangal and Karimnagar sharing borders with Bastar, it will become a dangerous situation when Telangana forms.
So what do you guys think...
Did everybody follow the KCR interview. I felt it was an eye-opener. So, I want ask anybody who don't believe in seperate telangana, to bring up their issues that were 'nt clarified.
We need more members, I humbly request all members in here to spread the word around. Tell people about this website. If you cannot do anything physically, you can atleast help us in spreading the word about this website. We donot have enough members from Telangana. Most of them are from US, Australia and Dubai. We need more members from telangana, Hyd and all the districts. This is your chance to show your love for Telangana. Please spread the word, send more members to this site. it would be really great if we ca get more and more members from diverse places.
T state ----- India became independent from the United Kingdom in 1947. The Muslim Nizam of Hyderabad wanted to retain his independence from India, but the people of the region(this is telangana region i belive) launched movement to join Indian Union. His state of Hyderabad was forced to become part of the Republic of India in 1948, after Indian Military Occupation as Hyderabad State.
Andhra -----In an effort to gain an independent state, and protect the interests of the Telugu people of Madras State, Amarajeevi Potti Sriramulu fasted until death. Public outcry and civil unrest after his death forced the government to announce the formation of a new state for Telugu speakers. Andhra attained statehood in October 1953 with Kurnool as its capital.
This is a must watch for all.I'll try to post in the figures on education disparities.

first of all this is for all you telangana people settled abroad and other states outside andhra in india.you guys are the biggest hypocrites on the face of the earth.
you make an issue that you guys want seperate telangana state and that the region and its people are exploited by migrants from other parts of andhra desam.
i want to put forth couple of issues and let me see how many of you guys out there are honest and brave enough to counter me.
