UTILISATION OF RIVER KRISHNA WATERS BY SEEMANDHRA AND TELANGANA REGIONS.

One need not be an expert in river water distribution to gauge the rabid exploitation of Telangana and its resources.

Before we look at the figures below we need to understand the “Catchment” percentage of each region. A “Catchment” area is an extent of land where water from rain and melting snow or ice drains downhill into a body of water, such as a river, lake, reservoir, estuary, wetland, sea or ocean. The “Catchment” area of Krishna river on Telangana is 69% while Seemaandhra is 31% ( Rayalaseema 18% and Andhra 13%) .

No amount of justification from the Andhra protagonists can deny the naked injustice meted out to Telangana.

Below is the project wise details of utilization and irrigation in TMCFT / LAKH ACRES in respect to completed and ongoing major irrigation projects on Krishna are as follows.

Apart from stealing water in excess of their quota, they are transferring waters to other basin i.e; Penna in violation of international norms.

Hello Mr. Chaitanya,

Hope you are doing well. Thank you for posting such naked facts about the injustice done towards Telangana People/Area/Region.

Can you please use your common sense and answer this simple questions?

You said that the catchment area of Krishna river on Telangana is 69% while Seemaandhra is 31%. Yes true, so can you explain the reason(s) why Telangana people, are not able to utilize 100% of water?

Also, can you explain me how water flows? Where all the Dams/projects are constructed on this Krishna river?

For now please answer these...I will come back with some more...

Regards.....Jai Hind

Google for Telangana kanneeti katha. You can know few facts not all. Your post says you know principles of nature also you should know the principle of governance, There where many Telangana projects Andhra government neglected to takeup.

Andhra govt concentrated to rob Telangana water. Nagarjuna sagar was proposed 19 miles back than current location which could have fetched 30% more water to Telangana. You understand this much now.

I fail to understand why our people (we are said to be good people and Andhras are bad people) hurl abusive language. If they have no answer they can wait till people like Swaroop come up.

My question to Swaroop: Is that water is distributed in proportion to catchment area? In such a case Bangladesh should not get even one TMC from Ganges and Brahmaputra and we should not get water into our SRS project.

There is lot (for you ) to understand on the the questions you where posing.

All the people are same in all respect. In our system Andhra leaders and Andhra Officers where the system ruined the peoples lives. We answered in a number of posts and with examples. If you don't have patience to read such posts please watch videos googling for them.

Water distribution question you asked we have posted a number of answers. The answer is too big to explain. I can direct you to proper videos.

CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE LIST OF VIDEOS ON WATER ISSUES

If you are in US watch the documentary on Water issues (by History channel) how and why they are raised and compare them with Telangana water issues.

Being a Telangana man first thing I did was to see articles and videos. After studying the half truths, I decided to expose them. This is one such effort. Either answer or forget about it if you have no answers. You need not redirect me to any.

You faill to understand because you dont know that according to the Water Tribunal "water has to be distributed per the catchment area" .In an Inter-state dispute water has to be distributed per the catchment area . If not for this cursed state of Andhra Pradesh , Telangana would have got its rightful share of 70% of the water .

Its ironic that you cite the example of Bangladesh , this is exactly what the Andhrites fear ! They fear that they would have depend on Telangana if we go ahead and build a dam similar to the Farakka Barrage ( for the uninstantiated http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Farakka_Barrage ).And per the Water Tribunal we would we well within our rights to utilize our share of water !

Does it answer your question ..my fellow (self declared) Telanganite ?

I asked a question that too to Swarup. You could have answered as well in a smooth tone. But why are you so repulsive and retortive in the answer? Just because I do not like separate Telangana you call me self declared! You want to keep our people under wrong assumptions and keep critiques out. Critiques need not be perfect. People like you can correct them. Only when we are aftraid of getting exposed we attack and insult critiques. This web site allows entry only when person clicks Jai Telangana. This is one best way to keep us unexposed to others. I infact for a while wondered if I was acknowledging separate Telangana by clicking Jai Telangana. I clicked it as I thought saying jai to mother land is a matter of pride.

Please re-read the splash page .You are welcome to post (your blog as well) and ask us questions but please make it directed instead of making a 'rhetorical escapade' .You talked about 'Catchment Area' and talked about all '108 points to be lies' but failed to provide anything substantial .If you are the critique the onus is on you to provide substance .If you can please do so !

Coming to my tone , I reread my post and I could not find anything offensive in it . Just as you expressed your opinion on 'half-truths' , I expressed mine saying that I do not believe that you are a Telanganite .Again these are opinions , lets push opinions to the side and talk about substance .Did I answer you 'Catchment area' question ? and what about your '108 critique' lets concentrate on that ? What about this http://ourtelangana.com/content/exploitation-river-krishna-seemandhra-ksn-reddy-retd-engg-chief-irrigation-dept , for starters can you please critique on this ?

You know the issue and dis agree with it even after the experienced people researched in their lifetime. But tell me which point you dis-agree I can explain. You just can't say all are wrong. Your responsibility is to check the data. By the way what issue you are interested.

I missed to see this post. I forgot to come here while concentrating on my blog ‘truth in 108 facts’. Sorry for delayed reply (although you don’t look forward for my reply).

‘As per the Water Tribunal’ is often quoted. Which is this tribunal that spoke of water distribution in our state? What else were their findings? Was there any tribunal that was given the task of distributing water between Telangana and Coasta-seema?

I am sure Coasta-seema people are worried about us building dams to stop water any flow to them. If we need to build such dams, we will submerge much more lands. To build such we will take decades. Till then we need to depend on their rice.

Coasta-seema leaders like ‘Ja’gadapaati will put us in legal battle and will not allow dams.  We are not afraid of these black mailing techniques. After all what we want is more ministries to more of our politicians. Let TG go to hell is their approach. Yeh…one more point, our politicians will black mail with threats similar to Farakkas and take as much money as possible in to their pockets from Coasta leaders.

Btw I am your fellow American-Telanganite!
